SRMIST partners with Stellantis India for EV research and training, ET Auto

SRMIST and Stellantis India have partnered to develop EV technologies and train skilled engineers for the growing electric mobility sector.
SRMIST and Stellantis India have partnered to develop EV applied sciences and practice expert engineers for the rising electrical mobility sector.

SRM Institute of Science and Know-how (SRMIST) and Stellantis India have shaped a partnership geared toward growing electrical car (EV) applied sciences and coaching expert engineers for the EV sector.

The collaboration will happen by SRMIST’s Centre for Electrical Mobility (CEM), which is able to work with Stellantis on joint analysis initiatives, skill-building initiatives, and real-world testing of EV elements.

Business assist and hands-on studying

As a part of the settlement, Stellantis has offered two Citroën ë-C3 electrical autos to CEM. These autos will probably be utilized by college students and researchers for testing, diagnostics, and efficiency analysis.“This initiative permits college students to work on real-world autos, deepening their sensible information and accelerating the event of job-ready EV engineers,” the institute acknowledged.

Dr C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST, stated, “At SRM IST, we’re dedicated to constructing an ecosystem of innovation that advances the frontiers of electrical mobility, sustainability, and car engineering. By way of collaborations with {industry} leaders and funding in analysis infrastructure, we’re shaping the subsequent technology of engineers.”

Dr Bharatiraja Chokkalingam, Head of CEM, added that the DST-PURSE grant is getting used to ascertain a nationwide platform for electrical and autonomous mobility. “We’re making a platform that unites innovation, talent improvement, and industry-focused training,” he stated.

Stellantis to share technical experience

Stellantis engineers will work intently with SRMIST college to establish key analysis areas and assist talent improvement by workshops and technical periods.

Ashwin Kaundinya from Stellantis India stated, “We applaud SRMIST’s method to EV analysis. Their concentrate on real-world innovation and educational excellence enhances Stellantis’ mission to drive sustainable mobility ahead.”

Sriram Venkataramanan of Stellantis India added, “At Stellantis, we consider the way forward for sustainable mobility lies in forging robust, innovation-led partnerships with educational establishments. SRMIST’s Centre for Electrical Mobility exemplifies this superb.”

The partnership will assist the design, prototyping, and validation of EV applied sciences whereas aligning educational programmes with {industry} wants.
