New Delhi: The Ministry of Street Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has proposed uniform Cyber Safety and Administration Techniques (CSMS) provisions for sure classes of four-wheelers, passenger and business autos to guard their capabilities from cyber threats. MoRTH, in a draft titled ‘Approval of autos almost about Cyber Safety and Cyber Safety administration system’, mentioned that the appliance for approval of a car kind with regard to cyber safety shall be submitted by the car producer or by their duly accredited consultant. “Based mostly on the dialogue within the 66th assembly of Automotive Trade Requirements Committee (AISC) held on 14th July, 2023, the Committee agreed to formulate an Automotive Trade Customary (AIS) for approval of autos geared up with Cyber Safety and Administration Techniques (CSMS).
