Siemens on Friday mentioned it will make investments an additional USD 290 million (271 million euros) in the USA throughout three areas as a part of a USD 2 billion funding bundle.
The Munich-based firm plans to take a position USD 150 million in a brand new manufacturing plant in Dallas-Fort Price, Texas, to provide electrical gear for U.S. knowledge centres and infrastructure.
It should make investments USD 140 million in two electrical-products manufacturing crops in Grande Prairie, Texas, and Pomona, California, the corporate mentioned.
“The brand new Fort Price facility and the Grand Prairie and Pomona extensions will meet booming demand for the electrification of crucial infrastructure – in different phrases, knowledge centres, battery crops, semiconductor amenities and EV charging,” Siemens mentioned in a press launch.
In July it introduced plans for a USD 220 million rail manufacturing plant in Lexington, North Carolina.
That undertaking and its newest plans will create round 1,700 jobs, the corporate mentioned.
Manufacturing on the new Dallas-Fort Price plant is deliberate for 2024 with full operation in 2025, Siemens mentioned.
