Arizona is carefully monitoring the testing and use of self-driving automobiles within the state, its transportation division mentioned on Wednesday, a day after California barred Normal Motors’ Cruise from working its driverless vehicles.
The Arizona Division of Transportation mentioned it was conscious of the announcement from California and was carefully monitoring the scenario.
“Public security is our highest precedence, and we’re in common communication with and carefully monitoring Cruise and different corporations testing and working self-driving automobiles in Arizona,” it mentioned in an announcement.
California’s Division of Motor Autos (DMV) suspended Cruise’s autonomous automobile deployment and driverless testing allow, calling the automobiles a danger to the general public and saying the corporate had “misrepresented” the security of the know-how.
