This energy plant on Spruce Road is the supply of a mist-like oil that started protecting houses and automobiles in 2013.
The state Division of Environmental High quality launched a report confirming neighbors’ complaints that one of many Sewerage & Water Board’s aged generators is leaking oil and spewing it over their property, the most recent in a sequence of hazards surrounding the Carrollton Energy Plant, David Hammer reported on WWL-TV.
Because the S&WB spends hundreds of thousands to repair the outdated gear that runs the town’s important drainage and water pumps, the continuous gear failures harm Carrollton-area neighbors’ high quality of life. An company spokeswoman advised Hammer the S&WB will meet with neighbors and is working with its insurance coverage firm on property harm claims and with turbine maker GE to schedule diagnostic exams on Turbine 5.
