Now centered on manufacturing of full buses and chassis over eight tonnes, Daimler Buses bought Mercedes-Benz Minibus in Dortmund to industrial group Aequita.
The customer acquired the corporate with 240 workers, “thereby securing the way forward for the Dortmund web site”, in keeping with a Daimler assertion.
Manufacturing at Dortmund would proceed and Daimler Buses would help Aequita with gross sales and repair/elements.
Until Oberwerder, Daimler’s bus chief, stated: “We need to focus… on our core enterprise and our strengths. Our focus was on sustaining jobs on the web site and offering the plant promising prospects for the longer term.”
Axel Geuer, managing accomplice of Aequita Group, added: “The minibus enterprise has superb development alternatives. Daimler is already [our] largest buyer, accounting for greater than 25% of our gross sales.”
