FRANKFURT, July 20 (Reuters) – The document floods which have devastated components of Germany and killed at the least 170 within the nation are estimated to have precipitated greater than 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) in insured losses, actuary firm MSK mentioned on Tuesday.
The floods, which began final week Wednesday, turned roads into rivers, swept away automobiles and buried swathes of land beneath thick in a number of areas in Germany, most notably the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia.
On Tuesday, the demise toll climbed to 170.
