SHANGHAI: Chinese language expertise big Baidu Inc expects to produce its Apollo autonomous driving system to 1 million automobiles within the subsequent three to 5 years, a senior firm government stated on Monday.
Li Zhenyu, senior company vp at Baidu, made the remarks on the 2021 Shanghai motor present. Baidu established its autonomous driving unit Apollo in 2017. The unit primarily provides expertise powered by synthetic intelligence and works with automakers akin to Geely, Ford Motor Co and GAC.
In January, Baidu stated it will arrange an organization with Geely to make good electrical autos (EV), which can rely on Baidu’s clever driving capabilities and Geely’s automotive manufacturing experience.
Baidu operates autonomous taxi service Go Robotaxi in Chinese language cities together with Beijing, Changsha and Cangzhou.
