Daimler Truck and the Volvo Group on Monday introduced completion of the transaction to kind their beforehand introduced gasoline cell three way partnership.

Volvo has acquired half of the partnership pursuits within the present Daimler Truck Gas Cell for SEK6.3bn (EUR0.6bn) on a money and debt-free foundation.

The ambition is to make the brand new three way partnership a number one world producer of gasoline cells with a aim of climate-neutral and sustainable transport by 2050.

The companions have renamed the corporate Cellcentric.

The three way partnership will develop, produce and commercialise gasoline cell programs to be used in heavy obligation vans as the first focus, in addition to different purposes.

A key aim is to begin buyer checks in about three years and to start collection manufacturing through the second half of the last decade.

Although the companions personal equal pursuits within the three way partnership, they proceed to compete in all different areas similar to car know-how and gasoline cell integration in vans.

Final November, they signed a binding settlement for the three way partnership. A preliminary non-binding settlement had been signed earlier in April 2020.
