Hyundai Motor India Foundation donates Kona Electric to IIT Delhi students for NVH, battery tech research, Auto News, ET Auto

The Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) at IIT Delhi will carry out various R&D projects with Hyundai in the broad area of e-mobility.
The Centre for Automotive Analysis and Tribology (CART) at IIT Delhi will perform numerous R&D initiatives with Hyundai within the broad space of e-mobility.

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Basis, the philanthropic arm of the South Korean carmaker, on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Basis for Innovation and Know-how Switch (FITT) – IIT Delhi and donated a Kona Electrical for NVH and battery know-how analysis for college students of IIT Delhi.

The scholars intention to check alternate vitality powered automobiles and rising applied sciences to innovate new-age mobility options.

Centre for Automotive Analysis and Tribology (CART) will conduct Battery profiling in Kona Electrical utilizing exterior sensors or different devices utilizing OBD port to know the efficiency of Electrical Automobile throughout completely different driving situations for the aim of analysis & coaching.

The MoU was exchanged between Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Director IIT Delhi, Dr. Anil Wali MD, FITT – IIT Delhi and S S Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd at IIT Campus, New Delhi.

Commenting on the collaboration with FITT – IIT Delhi, S S Kim mentioned, “We’re glad to collaborate with FITT- IIT Delhi to assist the analysis work of scholars of Centre for Automotive Analysis and Tribology (CART). Our collaborated efforts with IIT Delhi and the donation of Kona Electrical will present a possibility for college students to check & develop insights in the direction of a brighter & greener future for the generations to return.”

The Centre for Automotive Analysis and Tribology (CART) at IIT Delhi shall perform numerous R&D initiatives with Hyundai within the broad space of e-mobility, commented V Ramgopal Rao.

IIT Delhi places numerous emphasis on participating with business in rising know-how areas. As per its mandate, FITT at IIT Delhi will play a key function in deepening their collaboration with Hyundai.
