JPJ offering free road tax, driving license, grant replacement for flood victims – sets up mobile units

The street transport division (JPJ) has introduced measures to help those that are affected by the present floods which have hit a few states badly.

Substitute of the paperwork which can be beneath the purview of the JPJ will probably be given freed from cost to flood victims who could have broken or misplaced theirs within the flood. The three paperwork lined are street tax (Lesen Kenderaan Motor), driving license (Lesen Memandu Malaysia) and the automobile grant or possession certificates (Sijil Pemilikan Kenderaan).

JPJ says that house owners of the paperwork should be current themselves, bringing alongside the broken paperwork for substitute. For lacking paperwork, the proprietor will first should make a police report, and current the report back to JPJ as proof of loss. This “contact level initiative” is legitimate until April 15, 2021.

To make it simpler for flood victims to cope with the division, JPJ will arrange cell items at chosen places, particularly at non permanent flood reduction centres.
