Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Tuesday mentioned one in three of its prospects enrolled for the corporate’s digital key function, signalling a shift in client desire in direction of tech-enabled comfort.

In response to the corporate press launch, 33 per cent of eligible automobile consumers have opted for the function inside a 12 months of its rollout.

Launched in September 2024 with the Hyundai Alcazar and expanded to the Creta Electrical in January 2025, the digital key permits house owners to lock, unlock and begin their automobiles utilizing smartphones, smartwatches, or a devoted NFC card.

“As the primary OEM to launch related automobile know-how in India again in 2019, we stay dedicated to democratising premium options for Indian prospects,” mentioned Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, HMIL.

The automaker mentioned that the function is at present supplied in choose variants of the Alcazar and Creta Electrical, with plans to broaden its availability throughout extra fashions sooner or later.

Hyundai famous that 68 per cent of digital key customers are on iOS units, whereas 32 per cent are on Android. Notably, 35 per cent of customers are actively sharing entry with household and mates, highlighting the utility of the know-how.
