Police stopped a Ford Zetec travelling on the northbound M6 close to junction 28 for Leyland.
Officers mentioned that the automotive smelt strongly of hashish and two males within the automotive had been searched, alongside the automobile.
The boys had been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to provide hashish and possession of an offensive weapon.
The driving force was arrested for failing a medicine wipe for hashish and the automobile was seized for having no insurance coverage.
A spokesperson for the police mentioned: “Ford Zetec going northbound on the M6 in the direction of junction 28 stopped by motorway officers which smelled very strongly of hashish.
“Two males on board searched together with the automobile.
“Within the automobile was a amount of hashish, two samurai swords, two lock knives, a amount of money.
“Each arrested for possession with intent to provide hashish, possession of offensive weapons.
“Driver additional arrested after failing a roadside medicine wipe for hashish. Car seized for no insurance coverage.”
