I lately had an oil leak coming from the oil filter. I checked the oil stage and got here up under midway. I topped up 1L and drove to work and booked in service for that very same afternoon. I drove very flippantly to a mechanic about 30min drive away and he then informs me that it had lower than 1L of oil.
I get the automotive again and 1 day later the engine mild activates. I name my mechanic and tells me it is almost certainly a brief in some electricals as a result of he degreased the engine bay and washed it down as a result of oil ended up in all places. Sadly, this was on Christmas so he and everybody else was closed so I may do nothing about it. I drove the automotive for two days, very flippantly, and was operating a lot smoother and extra responsive. I made a decision to “give it just a little” nothing too strenuous and nothing I have not executed earlier than. The engine turned off on me. I flip it again on, it was a really tough begin after which died on me once more. Did this yet another time, received 20m, and died. It will not begin in any respect now. Tried to manually crank the engine, no luck.
My mechanic is dumbfounded and everybody I communicate to is pointing to the engine seizing or a spun bearing. I am no mechanic, nor do I do know what a spun bearing is lol – I am now searching for an skilled BMW specialist.
Does anybody have any thought what this could possibly be?
