Aurora police arrested a 41-year-old male suspect within the Jan. 24 hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian, based on the Aurora Police Division on Twitter.
Police arrested Jerry Lee Mahan Jr., 41, following the crash. Mahan is charged with:
- Leaving the scene of a crash leading to severe bodily harm
- Careless driving
- Failure to look at a crimson gentle
- No proof of insurance coverage
Officers responded to the decision concerning the crash at a bus cease on Colfax Avenue and Moline Avenue at 7:35 p.m. on Jan. 24, based on an Aurora Police Division tweet.
Two individuals have been pinned between the car and the bus cease shelter. Aurora Fireplace’s Technical Rescue Crew responded to the scene to rescue them. One of many victims was transported to the hospital with severe accidents, based on Aurora Fireplace Rescue on Twitter.
The motive force fled the scene.
